Who is this guide for?
For any user in the control panel (manager, accountant, council member...) who wants to stop a specific type of notification for himself only, on a specific channel, without this affecting the rest of the users.
Steps
- From the side menu, open Communication ← Notification preferences.
- A table shows the categories: Finance, Custodial, Meetings, Maintenance, Governance, Subscription, System, with examples under each category.
- Each category has three channels: In-App, Mobile and SMS.
- Check the box you want to stop. Example: To stop SMS messages from meetings, check the SMS box in the Meetings.
- Click Save Setting.
Result
The message “Notification setting has been saved” appears, and you will not receive notifications for that category on the channel you have marked. An unchecked box means you have received the notification.
Important notes
- The setting is for you only and does not change anything for the building or other users.
- You always receive critical alerts, even if you stop them, such as late payment, suspension or expiration of the subscription, and low SMS balance.
- The Marketing and Campaigns class is currently not being saved from this page; If no cursor remains after saving, contact support.
- Quiet hours are not here; It is a setting for the entire building on the Notification Settings page and is modified by whoever has authority over the building's notification settings.
Who is this guide for?
For those who are looking in the mobile application for a way to turn off some notifications for themselves.
What is available in the application?
The application does not currently contain a personal preferences screen. Your preferences (turning off a category of notifications on a channel specific to you) are set from the web control panel: Communication ← Notification preferences, and apply to the app as well.
Notifications section in Settings
- From the bottom navigation, select More then Settings.
- In the Notifications section a list of events (such as a new invoice) appears with the channel under each event and an on/off switch. If there are many, click All Notifications to view them in full.
Important notes
- These keys are settings for the entire building and not just for you: pausing an event here stops it for everyone in the building who receives it. Use with caution.
- This list is only visible to those with building notification settings, otherwise “No notifications set” appears.
- To view your incoming notifications, use the notification fund (see explanation of the notification fund).
