Who is this guide for?
For the building manager who wants to understand what "charge" means before asking residents to pay.
What is charge?
An charge is a financial claim on residents: an amount required from each apartment for a specific purpose and by a specific date, which when paid enters a specific fund.
Example: “October maintenance” due, 20 dinars per apartment, on the Maintenance Fund. If the building has 12 apartments, the requirement is 240 dinars, and the system follows up on who paid and who did not.
Types of charge
- Fixed charge: One amount per resident, such as maintenance or guard fees.
- Water meter charge and Electricity meter charge: The amount is calculated from the meter reading of each apartment x Unit price, with the possibility of distributing the “waste” from the main meter.
- Usage charge: Number of times a service is used x unit price, such as hall reservation.
- Rent charges: These are created from tenant contracts and appear on a special card showing the landlord’s share and expenses.
Where can I find it?
From the side menu: Finance then Charges (page title Charges). Each card displays the status (Paid / Partially Paid / Unpaid), Required, Paid, Remaining, and the residents.
Important notes
- Each charge is linked to a single fund and its currency.
- The charge type cannot be changed after it is created.
- When the resident pays, his payment is automatically recorded as an income bill.
