Who is this guide for?
For the building manager who made a mistake on an invoice statement or registered an invoice that should not have been there.
Quick edit (statement only)
- From Finance ← Invoices Search for the invoice by its number, statement, or resident’s name.
- Click the Quick Edit pencil icon in the invoice row.
- Modify the statement, example: from “Payment” to “November Maintenance Payment – Apartment 101”, then save.
Quick edit is only available within the first 24 hours of invoice creation, and only edits the statement. Then the button appears disabled with edit timeout expired (24 hours from creation).
Cancel wrong invoice
- In the invoice row, click the Cancel icon (circle with a line).
- Read the Cancel Invoice message: “This invoice will be reversed and marked as cancelled,” then confirm.
Result
The bill becomes cancelled and remains visible in the record, and its effect is reversed: the fund balance is restored as it was, the resident's paid charges are returned to Unpaid or partially paid, and the amount added to it is deducted from his wallet.
Example: You recorded 20 dinars for maintenance for apartment 102 instead of 101: cancel the invoice and then record a new payment for the correct resident.
Important notes
- You cannot change the amount or fund on an invoice; The correct way is to cancel and then create a correct invoice.
- Cancellation is irreversible.
- If the Quick Edit or Cancel icons do not appear, you do not have permission — contact your building manager.
